These companies are private companies which are incorporated on a “not for profit” basis.  These companies are used by clubs, professional associations, religious groups or charitable bodies.

 

These companies have no shareholders but have members who agree to contribute a certain sum in the event of the insolvency of the company.  These companies are precluded from paying dividends and can be adapted to obtain charitable status in appropriate cases.
